The year I started making and selling at craft markets was also the year I decided ALL my Christmas gifts would be handmade… apparently I didn’t think I already had enough on my plate, what with juggling my day job and market prepping! Haha!
The plan was to make gifts for about 23 people. I called it The year of Handmade. It ended up being messy, chaotic, involving A LOT of brutally late nights, but I did it! I made every single present I gave to my loved ones this Christmas!
(Husband, it pains me that you’re not a handknit kinda fella, for I’d love nothing more than to shower you with my makes. As it turns out, I’m married to someone who would rather live in short-sleeve T-shirts all year ’round. The irony is not lost on me!)
Over the coming weeks, I aim to share photos (where I’ve got them) of some of the finished objects so we can all admire this laudable triumph of great difficulty and pat me on the back. For now, just a sneaky preview of something to come.
